Founded 2015
Founder John M. Pizzuti a Central Michigan University Alumni, possessed a sincere interest in health and science technology and an affinity for both athletics and design. John has over 10 years experience in the building trades and has a knack for understanding geometrical design advantages to improve overall structural integrity, durometer, and load path distribution. Design, engineering, and manufacturing are something that John is very passionate about.
After several years in the ideation and prototyping stages, John founded Zuti Facemasks as an outlet to combine his interests and create a product line that has a large opportunity to claim. Being a Detroit native (a city once hailed as the ‘Arsenal of Democracy’) John takes pride in every design from inception to completion to ensure it provides the user with the maximum amount of protection/performance.
John designs new football helmet facemasks with an understanding of technology, materials and manufacturing methods to improve the customized design and safety of the Zuti difference. He manages the multi-faceted positions of designing, modeling, testing and prototyping with the coordination of engineering professionals at, Steinbrink Engineering, LLC, safety testing with University of Washington and following the National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE) with a completed certification as a member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA).
Zuti Facemasks continuously targets the highest standards and partners to achieve reliability and custom design demands as a leader in the football facemask industry. We are very proud to be a product made in Detroit, MI, USA
The principle mission is to produce
the safest, freshest looking facemasks for helmets known to the sporting industry.

Changing the Game?
Cast stainless steel is ductile, and when not heat-treated it is still tough.
To demonstrate that, Singer said he's pulled the masks apart and pushed them together, bending and flexing them to show their toughness.
They don't snap and shatter and, most crucially, Pizzuti and Singer say they dissipate energy more efficiently than the traditional welded mask.
"As we started to talk about this project we theorized that one singular piece of steel would absorb energy better than multiple pieces that were welded together," Pizzuti said. ...
..."On virtually every drop of the five drops, the investment cast mask scored anywhere from 25-30% lower on the severity index, "Pizzuti said. "Lower is better, and it means less energy is being transferred to the head and ultimately the brain of the wearer."...

Partnered and working very closely with Acracast, the careful process that is invested to every facemask is completed with quality and that shows in every facemask produced.
"Our masks are designed to distribute the force from an impact while minimizing damage to the mask.
Every step of the process has been developed with integrity for these facemasks and their design. This product is not for play but for serious game players."
